From your middle school science fair to your first lemonade stand, entrepreneurship isn’t something you can learn, it’s a burning desire, deep inside your soul to do what other people see as “impossible.” We all have our strengths and weaknesses, I love playing basketball, but no matter how much I practiced, I could never make it a career. Based on physical barriers, I knew that I would have to utilize my mind to expand into limitless possibilities.

I always knew I was different, but as a child, being different doesn’t mean you’re the popular kid. Being different requires courage, being different is weird, being different is cool. In order to live a life that you have always dreamt of, we need to do things that nobody has ever done before.

Les Brown said it best,

“Thegraveyard is the richest placeon earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to …”

If you tell yourself that you will never achieve all of your hopes and dreams, why would you even get out of bed every day? You wouldn’t. Being an entrepreneur is waking up at 5 a.m. with a smile wider than the gap between 2 minds. Which leads us to our next point…2 brains are always greater than 1.

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

Collaboration has been defined since the beginning of time. From Adam & Eve to Bert & Ernie to Kim & Kanye to Batman & Robin. No matter the success story, there is always a player in the background that allows the underdog to become a hero.

Finding yourself alone will never allow you to reach your full potential. This has been proven mathematically since 1 + 1 is always greater than 1.

1 + 1 = 2,        2 > 1 (For the math people)

Unlike Money, time is the most valuable resource we have as human beings. You can’t be scared about going into debt or using all of your money to chase your dream. Money can be replaced, but as seen in Salvador Dali’s “Persistence of Memory” painting, shows several clocks melting in place.

It’s said that Dali painted his clocks to appear as if their “melting” because time is always moving, whether we’re awake, sleeping, or daydreaming. Don’t waste your time thinking about whether or not you should implicate an idea. Act on it! Reach out to someone who’s gone through the process. Collaboration will help you achieve your dreams because remember, 2 is always greater than 1.
