We only see what we want to see; we only hear what we want to hear. Our belief system is just like a mirror thatonly shows us what we believe.
Oprah Winfrey is an icon, a billionaire, and a philanthropist. Most of us probably say to ourselves,
“I wish I was a Billionaire.”
This is a mindset that we all need to work on to improve. Rather than focusing on the result, you need to determine your purpose; if you truly want to be successful. After listening to Oprah’s story, it would have been easy for her to play the victim.
She was beaten by her grandmother as a young child, she was raped at the age of 9, and it’s safe to say that most people who go through these issues end up down a dark path. But, not Oprah Winfrey.
Oprah has proven to us all that if you have a talent you want to share with the world, that if you have a vision for sharing that talent with the world, then you can triumph.
If you’re working for a paycheck in order to pay your bills, drive a fancy car, or take an extravagant vacation, then you need to take a hard look at yourself in the mirror.
Don’t play the victim, be like Oprah, have a vision, think big, and give yourself a purpose.
Having Trouble? Here are a few books I would recommend reading so that you can positively change your outlook on life.
