Life Balance | A Simple Formula Explained

Finding the perfect formula for life balance is going to take a lot of work. I am constantly making sure that I do the things that are necessary in order to become successful. Here are some tips to help improve your balancing act.

1. Sleep.

Sleep is the key to recharging to give you the energy you need in order to meet your goals. Without getting a proper amount of sleep, you are depriving your body of helping you make sure you are running in tip-top shape!

2. Health and Nutrition.

Being cognizant of your exercise & nutrition is essential to life! By making sure that you are fueling your body with the nutrition that you truly need, you’ll have more mental clarity, more energy, and a more positive outlook to bring to your work than someone who doesn’t prioritize exercise and nutrition. If you still haven’t caught on, what I’m saying is that exercising at least 3 times a week while eating a clean diet equals more productivity in the long run.

3. Learn to Say No.

If for nothing else, do it for your mental health just so that you can take some time for yourself on a regular basis.

Unfortunately, nobody can do everything they want, which learning to say no, may reduce your stress levels. Nobody likes missing out on special events or hanging out with friends. But, as long as you tell someone that you cannot make it and are honest with them, I haven’t had anyone get upset with me for not coming to an event. However, not responding to someone at all, will cause people to look at you in a negative manner.

4. Plan Ahead.

If corporate America has gotten one thing right, it’s keeping people accountable for their work schedules. Unfortunately, it’s easy for us to neglect our own ability to plan, which causes us to be scatterbrained on a day to day basis, and get stressed, thus raising your cortisol on a regular basis. Get into a habit of planning what time you are waking up in the morning, going to the gym, or hanging out with friends. This will allow you to accomplish more on a daily basis and keep you on track to meet all of your responsibilities!
