Growing Rich

When I first graduated from college I thought growing rich would be easy…

I remember when I worked at a company and I was able to outwork my coworkers to ultimately get promoted from a low-level position making $40,000/year up to a position that had me over $100,000/year in only 8 months!

I thought to myself if I do a great job, work hard, that I will continue to move forward.

Well…I was WRONG!

In your journey, it’s important to always be moving forward. However, life isn’t always as easy as school, where you take a class, you pass the class, and you move on. Growing slowly is a mindset that you need to embrace so that you can make your dreams come to fruition.

Having a mindset that you can constantly continue to double or even triple your income is setting yourself up for disappointment. You cannot expect to have that sort of growth every year and managing expectations that are attainable will help you live a happier life.

That’s why it’s important to follow your passions don’t follow the money and enjoy the journey.
