What’s a better deal than free shipping? The dollar store will help you save lots and lots of money! I love shopping at my neighborhood grocery store, but while I was volunteering at a local food pantry, I heard something disturbing. The grocery store where I shop keeps dozens of bread-loaves to increase sales because nobody wants to buy the last loaf of bread.
Little behold, if the grocery store sells just one loaf of bread, they still make a profit even if they throw the other 11 away! This is proof that the prices we’re paying at our local stores are extremely inflated.
As a millennial, I am always trying to find different ways to save money…….
so I went on an adventure to the Dollar Store! Now, there are certain things that you don’t want to buy from the Dollar Store, such as batteries, knives, tools, and headphones.
If you think you’re too cool or proud to shop at the Dollar Store, then you need a serious reality check.
No matter where you are in life, saving money is saving money…simple.
Over your life, the more money you can save, the more you can enjoy the freedom that cash will buy for you.
Here are items that you can find at your local dollar store to help you save money!
1. Sunscreen.
Sunscreen is sunscreen, why pay over $3 for the cheapest sunscreen I could find, when you can pay $1?
2. Cleaning Supplies.
Searching on large corporate online stores, I was only able to find a few products that were less than $1.
3. Spices.
You won’t find anything fancy, but who uses salt and considers themselves high class?
4. Greeting Cards.
Go ahead and keep paying a minimum of $3 for that last minute card you recently bought
5. Party Supplies.
I either do the following with my party supplies
i. Throw away the perishable items
ii. Recycle the remaining items
