Dealing With Unreliable People | As an Adult

Dealing with unreliable people is one of those lessons that you learn through adulthood. As you move closer and closer to attaining your goals, you will start to find that the people surrounding you will change. At first, it may feel strange that the friends you have accumulated over the years start to become distant. You may question whether you did something wrong or ask yourself why things have changed.

You need to realize the only thing changing is that you are coming closer to reaching your purpose in life.

This may have you questioning yourself in ways such as:

“Did I do something wrong?”

“Why do I find myself alone more often than not?”

“How come I’m not receiving the recognition that I deserve?”

Whether it’s likes on social media or being recognized in your 9-5 job, in order to continue to fulfill your destiny, you need to stop living your life focused on what other people think of you.

It will be difficult to stop asking for your families’ blessing when it comes to doing certain jobs. It will be difficult to find yourself alone at home on a Friday night. It will be difficult to achieve your dreams.

But in the end, it will all be worth it.
