4 Interview Tips | That Will Get You Hired

Are you tired of your current job or looking to move to another company? Well, if you’re unhappy with your current position, it’s time to dust of that resume and start applying!

Here are some quick and easy tips so that you can nail your upcoming interview:

1. Get a haircut the week before your interview.

Nobody likes someone who appears to be trying too hard; if you get a haircut the day before an interview it’s clear to whoever is interviewing you. However, if you get a haircut the week before, you will show that you maintain a professional look without the appearance of

“trying too hard”

2. Tell a Story Not Facts.

While everyone loves a great story, nobody likes a “know-it-all”. In your interview, make sure you are telling a story about why you are qualified for the position you are pursuing. Make it personal, remember that we are

“human beings not human doings”

3. Don’t Research the Company.

Now, I’m not saying that you shouldn’t know anything about the company you’re interviewing for. Nonetheless, if you talk to your interviewing about why you are passionate about what you do, then knowing random facts such as the company’s founder won’t matter!

Simon Sinek provides a great explanation about showing people WHY you do what you do!  https://www.ted.com/talks/simon_sinek_how_great_leaders_inspire_action?language=en

4. Work Out Before Your Interview:

Exercise releases endorphins that help you stay cool, calm, and collected. Taking 45 minutes to an hour to go for a bike ride or pump some iron will help you

“nail your interview”
